Advertising Slogans

Hi everyone in Y6

Have you ever had to make up an advertising slogan for Miss Gibson but you couldn’t come up with the idea that you really wanted to say?

Well try this nifty little website the next time you are in a tricky situation

Big Trouble in Y6

There was a bit of trouble in Y6 today because Miss Gibson sent Alice, Lauren and Casey to the Infants with some very valuable glue sticks (Pritt Sticks ………….but we are not allowed to mention the brand name). Mr Rafferty asked Lauren, Alice and Casey to find a place on the shelf in Y1’s class to put them…..which they did only for Miss Gibson to come down to Y1 to complain that Y1 had all of the glue sticks for the whole infants!!! If only Alice and Lauren hadn’t said anything!

Everton 0 Arsenal 1

Why don’t you write a match report and send it to gpyear1@gmail.com

If you would prefer to record the report and put it onto the website see Mr Rafferty this week.

What can Y6 write about.

Have you got something you would like to write about? Would you like to become a published web author. Send, to gpyear1@gmail.com , an article about your favourite football team, book, cd, lesson, tv programme or pop star and we will put it onto our website.

You could tell us about a day in school. Have a look at the Infants Blogs for some ideas. There is lots of ace stuff in the Reception and Mrs Davies is starting to become one of our chief bloggers! Try it and see.

West Ham United v Arsenal

The match between West Ham and Arsenal finished with a 1-0 victory for the home team.

Year 6 Award

Congratulations to Tom who is this week’s winner. He was nominated for producing a pleasing piece of work, on food chains, in science. Well done!!

Pablo Bear

Thanks to a kind invite from Michael, Year 6 had a visitor  yesterday – Pablo Bear. He waved us off to football – unlike us, he had forgotten his kit but he enjoyed watching from the window. He was very impressed!

Later, he joined in a maths lesson on ratio and proportion although he did look rather puzzled.

He really enjoyed the Spanish lesson and listened carefully.

After school he picked the winning Rory Card out of the box but promised to keep it secret until the Praise Assembly.

I think he had a great day!!

Football Coaching

Y6 pupils really seemed to enjoy their first coaching session with Mike. Although it was quite cold the sun was shining and it wasn’t too muddy. We’ll keep you informed of our progress – including Miss Gibson’s. It was rumoured that she kicked a ball today!

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Champions League

After another great performance by five time winners of the Champions League the attention turns tonight to Arsenal. Can they manage to scrape through to the next stage?
