Home from Kingswood

Dear Parents,
Many thanks for the wonderful reception we received from you when we returned home last night.
We had a fantastic week. ALL the children were BRILLIANT….no fall-outs, no tears, no requests to ‘phone home,’ and no complaints about the food. They just had a GREAT time and were so supportive of each other. You should be VERY proud of them, they were good company…Miss Gibson, Mrs Cassidy and myself even managed to get some sleep!
Have a lovely holiday.

Thursday Night

Thanks for all your messages. As we are going to be very busy tonight and tomorrow this will be our last post until we are home. The children will have plenty of stories to tell (some may be slightly exaggerated)
Happy Easter to all from Mr Hewer, Mrs Cassidy, Miss Gibson and the children. See you soon!!! About 4.00 p.m. tomorrow.

Thursday at Kingswood

Hi all woke up this morning and the weather had changed - its colder and wet but that hasn’t stopped us having fun. Yet more muddy activities today. I’ve just seen group E going off to caving already looking very muddy - they’d been playing in puddles apparently.
Everyone is doing really well and I’m sure they’ll be some more messages later. Many instructors have commented on the children’s good behaviour and sense of fun.
Emma - Having a good time.

Tom P - Hi mum having a great time. Miss you loads.x

David - Hi all. I keep losing things but luckily I always find them. Guess where? In my bag!

Here is the latest batch of photographs - hope you enjoy.

Kingswood - March 2007

Hi everyone! Well here we are at sunny Dalston recovering from today’s experiences. We were delighted that Kendra was able to join us. She arrived just in time for dinner. (Yum! Yum!) Each group has done a muddy activity activity today - get the washing machines ready mums.
Group E took Larry the Ladder and Mr Hewer around the Team Challenge course - they all survived. Mr H was rather disappointed as his brand new designer pumps got a little muddy. Group F and Mrs Cassidy crawled through the mud in Nightline - they looked quite a sight but their skin will surely benefit from the mudpacks. Group G went treasure hunting in the caves - looking for the golden bar to win a Disney holiday. We were unlucky - no gold bar but we all got out in one piece.
Food is brilliant!! Weather good and everyone is well. We’ll try and get some photographs and comments from the children downloaded tomorrow. They send all their love. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ( one per family)
See you all Friday
From Miss G, Mrs C and Mr H. xxx

Kingswood

Year 6 are getting really excited as their venture holiday gets closer and closer. Next Monday we set off to the Lake District for 5 days of fun!!! Most of the children are delighted about the fact they’ll get muddy.
Watch out Kingswood here we come!!!

Easter Eggsperience -Monday 19th March

Maghull Baptist Church invited us to participate in this event and we had a great morning.
We were involved in various events - a quiz, treasure hunt and hot cross bun sampling. We also found out lots of information - very interesting.
Perhaps the best bit was at the end, we all got a Cadbury’s cream egg- delicious!!!
The children have produced some excellent writing and we’ll get some on the blog soon (hopefully).

Rory Award

Well done to Elle for winning this week’s award. Her nomination was for always smiling - even after falling over in netball!! No more accidents please Elle.
