Our last half-term
We’ve had a very busy start to Y6’s last half-term.
On Monday we had a visit from some of Maghull High School’s staff regarding the children who will be transferring in September. We also did athletics with year 5. We did various events in preparation for selecting an Athletics Team to represent Green Park in a future competition.
On Tuesday we had swimming. All of the children worked really hard and next week some of them will be trying to achieve their Survival certificate. They need to bring shorts and a Tshirt.
In the afternoon ‘Green Team’ went off to visit the Eco centre in Southport and had a great time. I was pleased to hear their behaviour was, once again, excellent. Perhaps some of the children will comment on their visit.
After school we had netball and it was lovely to see one of our ex-pupils back to join in. Jade, who’s now 16, still plays netball and has recently been chosen to train with the ‘North England’squad. (Hope I got that right!) It’s always nice to hear good news.
Well, the week is going to get even busier - we are trying to allocate the rest of the parts for our Summer production of ‘Oliver’. Tomorrow all of Year 6 are visiting Deyes High School (Don’t forget your boxes and your packed lunch) and on Friday our musicians are involved in a transfer day at Maricourt.
