Holiday Homework

Remember that you need to have at least two pages of work in your journals - this could be a holiday diary.
You should also record at least 5 short reading sessions in your blue log book.
These are to be brought in on Monday 3rd November.
You can also start your biography if you wish. You will need to tell us next week who you have chosen to write about.
I’m not sure when we’ll be doing Games during the next half-term but have your kit on the first Monday and if the weather is ok we’ll play hockey.
Have a good week.

Tom’s Poem

He rides his Horse to the old Inn door.

Inn is were he meets Bess the landlords black eyed daughter.

Goes away with hope of return.

Horrible guards bound Bess to her casement.

While she waits at her bed for the trotting hooves.

Another day comes with a gunshot been fired, the highwayman hears it was his one true love with the moonlight she shattered.

Ye old highwayman’s horse horse gallops towards the inn and the Highwayman with a musket in his hand.

Mad rage spreading through his face.

Another death , the highwayman’s dead all the love must come to an end.

Now Bess and the Highwayman live happily in heaven.

Bronte’s Poem

Cherry is our dog,
She’s not like any other.
She’s such a fabulous playmate,
(I prefer her to my brother!)

Each morning when we wake,
We take an early stroll.
But once Cherry’s found a puddle,
She has to have a roll!

Her favourite toy to play with,
Is a bouncy, bright red ball.
But sometimes when I throw it,
It fly’s over the garden wall!

She bounds through our kitchen,
Hungry for her tea,
But she breaks Mum’s favourite teapot.
I’m glad it wasn’t me!

Cherry’s getting tired,
For the night is drawing near.
And her little sleepy snuffles,
Are the only sounds I hear.

Cherry is our dog,
She’s not like any other.
She’s such a fabulous playmate,
(I prefer her to my brother!)
